Informações Técnicas

    

  • TERRAIN - The area of the forest consists of sand dune pine forest mostly of good runnability and visibility, but with some areas of reduced visibility due to some typical trees. Regular network of roads and tracks. Relief forms typical from sand dune terrain where the degree of detail varies. Highest point is about 50m and lowest point above sea level. The urban map consists in a small village next to the beach with some small and irregular paths and roads.

  • COMPETITION

Relay Rules – The team is formed by 4 elements and the sum of elements must reach at least 8 points according to the following table:

1 point for H21E (men with more than 21 years old)

2 points for D21E, H17, H35 (women with more than 21 years old, men with more than 17 years old and men with more than 35 years old)

3 points for H15, D17, D35, H40 (men with more than 15 years old, women with more than 17 years old, women with more than 35 years old and men with more than 40 years old)

4 points for H13, D15, D40, H45 ( men with more than 13 years old, women with more than 15 years old, women with more than 40 years old and men with more than 45 years old)

5 points for D13, D45 (woman with more than 15 years old and woman with more than 45 years old)

For example:

1st element – person “X” (H15) – 3 points
2nd element – person “Y” (H21E) – 1 point
3rd element – person “Z” (H40) – 3 points
4th element – person “K” (D21E) – 2 points

3 + 1 + 3 + 2 = 9 points. Team OK. If the sum of points doesn’t reach 8, the team is not qualified to the competition.

The order of the elements should be done taking in attention the following points:

  • 1st leg – Middle distance with 4,2 km and 17 control posts in forest
  • 2nd leg – Urban course with 4,2 km and 30 control posts in urban terrain
  • 3rd leg – Long distance with 8,8 km and 31 control posts in forest
  • 4th leg – Mix course with urban and forest with change map. 1.9 km and 16 controls in urban part and 5,1 km and 15 controls in forest part.

If someone does not have team or prefers to participate individually, in pars or in groups, there are some extra relay courses:

Easy– Very easy course with 3,1 km and 12 controls in forest
Medium – Middle distance with 4,2 km and 17 control posts in forest
Long – Long distance with 8,8 km and 31 control posts in forest
Urban – Urban course with 4,2 km and 30 control posts in urban terrain
